These cuts in Medicare are extremely concerning. My senior group has talked with our representatives and senators about our concerns, and although they assure us that our quality of coverage and access to doctors will not be hindered, I remain worried. Currently, I review Medicare options available in my area using the zip code search tool at PlanPrescriber.com. The are many choices now for 2010, but ... See all content

I don't care about cutting Medicaid myself, as a handout is a handout. However, to blatantly lie about what this bill is doing, as every supporter has been doing since day one, is completely unacceptable.

Well that video is what I've been picturing for some time now. We can stop them in there tracks if we surround them. They would either have to bend to the will of the people or bring in the thugs. Now wouldn't that look great on the media. Police and the military putting the forceables on un-armed American citizens. Kinda like it looks for Iran when the people protest a corrupt government ... It is ironic that proposed cuts to Medicare may sink the current healthcare bill (thankfully). Medicare itself is not sustainable, and is already distorting healthcare in toxic ways. Obamacare Bails Out Medicare But, better to have a smaller government program go bankrupt in the current environment, than tie the whole society together in suffocating regulation before going broke.

...and so it goes. Maintaining liberty and a free nation is an ongoing process. One can never really ignore it. There are many who would oppress freedom in the name of what is really "the best for all". It takes time, thought and work to protect liberty. It may not be an easy task, but, it is the only truly worthwhile fight because everything that we cherish as free Americans depends upon ... See all content
