Updated 3 months ago

Source: http://blog.getpaint.net/

The translations are done, the last bugs have been ironed out, and Paint.NET v3.5 is a few steps away from prime time. Officially this is a beta, but the final release is imminent.

Anyway you can grab it over at the website. If you want the list of changes since Beta 3, you can get those at the forum. Happy Halloween!

Big thanks for your hard work Rick. I’m really looking forward to using this edition.

Are you from Oz? (Australia)

paintNet should come with all windows packages. Its so damn nice to use and easy to pick up. I get a lot of demo’s , and I spend the next few weeks trying to do a simple thing. I like paintNet as it gets you do great stuff, quickly, and with great results

By the way, as a heads-up: While this isn’t really a license violation, Mike Hardy over at http://j.mp/1G8UcM indicates that he sells “Creative Paint Professional”, but clicking on the page gets:

“CREATIVE PAINT IS UNDERGOING

RE-LICENSING AND SHOULD

BE UP AGAIN SHORTLY…

PLEASE CHECK BACK…”

Just a head’s-up

Hi Rick,

I love Paint.NET, but as of Beta 4 PDN still freezes (well, becomes unresponsive with high CPU usage) for a long while (30 min + ) when attempting to paste an image in. Are there any sort of diagnostics I could send you for this? It really makes PDN difficult to use, sadly.

I’ll ask again for good measure in case you’ve missed it, but…

Any chance you could have it register itself as a default program on Vista/Windows 7 so that you can use Default Programs utility to force all the file type associations?
