“Nationalize as much as possible, even the currency, so as to make men love their country before their states. All private interests, all local interests, all banking interests, the interests of individuals, everything, should be subordinate now to the interest of the government.”

The elimination of the Federal Reserve System is an essential element in recapturing states’ rights, stemming economic growth ...

The Khazars will never allow the Federal Reserve Banking System to end peacefully. They own the White House, the Congress, and the federal bench. How do you get around that? First, you would have to amend the U. S. Constitution, to end it, much like prohibtion, and the end of prohibition. The difference is, the Khazars would not lose control of the money supply, with the beginning/end of prohibition ... See all content

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Sons and Daughters of Liberty,

There are only two types of human beings.

If one is in favor of the so called "fair tax" they have no understanding of the evil of central banking (the fed). The income tax is a twofer for the feds: 1. it pays the interest to the private central bankers; 2. it guts the Bill of Rights. The Founders limited the sources of income of the federal government for a reason — so it wouldn't become a tyranny. No disrespect, but ... See all content

How about abolishing all federal and state taxes, repealing laws as required, reduce spending to constitutional levels, and providing the federal and state governments with funds to support this reduced size with low UNIFORM tariffs at state and national borders?

All private interests, all local interests, all banking interests, the interests of individuals, everything, should be subordinate now to the interest of the government. In other words, without The Fed it's too difficult for the government to be a god on earth and the absolute ruler of us all and the source of all of today's so-called rights dolled out as privileges. Trying to get the average ... See all content

Lyra: There is no such thing as a "fair tax" since it is theft by government and for ever after subject to constant increases in the rates. Just like the income tax which originally was to be a "1 percent tax on net personal incomes above $3,000 with a 6 percent surtax on incomes of more than $500,000." Now look what we have. Better to just stop at eliminating taxes completely and ... See all content

Like I said, Lyra – I’m interested in reducing the size of government, not just finding a new way to fund it. FairTax advocates often refer to the ability to generate even more revenue, and when they’re not, they’re simply talking about replacing the IRS with a new bureaucracy. Hardly worth my time.

With that in mind, any thoughts on this article itself? Or, were you

I'm kind of a socialist (horrors)... but I agree that we need an audit of the Fed. All Americans who are semi-concious want an audit of the fed.

309 members of Congress agree with this, but [Mel Watt decided to gut HR-1207 and protect his banker buddies](http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=atc2o1ijLRno ). HR-1207 might pass, but unless people get onto phone/fax/e-mail then the Federal Reserve will remain protected behind the curtain of secrecy.

Is Rep Watt to blame? Chairman Barney Frank held it up in committee for MONTHS so that gutting amendments could be authored and voted in. There's no reason this bill shouldn't have been released for a vote months ago with merely 50 or 100 sponsors, much less THREE HUNDRED.

Lyra – while I understand the interest in the fairtax – I don't see the good of it. Simply giving the politicians a different way of funding their unconstitutional activities isn't going to change anything. What about striking at the root instead? Meaning, violations of power…not spending our energies on giving them new ways to pay for it…

Audit the Fed bill H.R. 1207 which has over 300 co-sponsors in the House, was 'gutted' in committee by Rep Mel Watt D-N.C. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pag... . Yes it's time to 'End the Fed' and abolish the 16th Amendment with the Fair Tax http://www.fairtax.org/site/PageServer
