As a Bills fan and fan of the NFL for that matter, I'm totally disgusted by this. Why would a senile old fart like Bud Adams publicly disrespect his friend Ralph Wilson's team the way he did? Ralph Wilson is by far the classiest owner the league has ever seen and it's stupid acts like this that will keep Bud Adams from ever being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I used to have respect for the Oilers/Titans but that's gone now. Maybe Adams should consult AA, call his friend Wilson and apologize for his conduct and stay away from Titans games for awhile....at least until he knows how to act like an adult. Grow up sir....you're 86 years old. Time to act like a big boy to stop acting like a immature teenager trying to impress some girl.

Bud Adams went a long way towards disproving the notion that Titans fans are a collection of uneducated, class-less trailer park residents. When the owner of your team displays that level of "respect" for the other team, its not wonder the players do things like stomp on a terrible towel during a regular season game (and then back it up by getting bounced in their 1st play-off game...followed up by a brutal next season)

Until the Titans actually win something, its unclear what Bud Adams is proving. Other than the obvious, which is money and class are often mutually exclusive or that even the richest man in Tennessee is still white trash. For goodness sakes, Bud, you beat the Bills.

For record, I understand the "Texas" angle of Bud Adams...but is Tennessee really that much different than Texas?

I am soooo sick of people using the term "Field Goal Fisher" when he has gone for it SEVERAL TIMES with Vince on fourth down. Sounds like he believes in this QB to me. Remember the awesome 4th and 2 conversion with Vince option to Johnson for a TD against the 49ers? There are times to go for it and times to kick it, and I think Fisher for the most part chooses those times appropriately.

I'm not going to say that I was offended morally by Bud Adams, but I don't think it was a classy way to celebrate a win. I do have to agree with Peter King on SI.com, "if you fine Chad Johnson $20,000 for a harmless joke that maybe went a little too far, Adams should get a lot more than a slap on the wrist."

I don't care what any of you say about this either, because no matter how you try to convince me otherwise I am not going to agree with you whatsoever. So just understand that. You have a right to your opinion and I to mine. My overall approval rating of Adams this year is at an all time low. You can blame Fisher all you want, (no I am not a VY hater, I am thrilled to see him in there and think he is a better QB than Collins. VY and CJ they are a SCARY duo) but I still think the way Adams handled the calling for VY situation is dispicable. You don't go to the media if you want your head coach to change the QB, you pull him aside and ask for it in private. You don't turn into Al Davis and outwardly show the world that you disapprove of how the head coach is managing things. It prevents the world from piling on you. You protect your head coach in a difficult and frustrating time and you pull him aside and say BEHIND CLOSED DOORS "Vince starts." If Adams had done that as he should have and Fisher made the QB change, none of you would even be mentioning Fisher at all. If anything, you would be praising his name for managing to keep his team together and pull off a rally three weeks in a row after 6 straight losses. Leave the Fisher alone. He still has the respect from his players. Look at them. Look at he and KB after the INT return for a TD by Hood. Fisher WANTS THIS TEAM TO WIN! He has to answer all the tough questions to the media while Bud Adams sits in his ivory tower counting all his money. I appreciate that Fisher somehow managed to keep a reasonably positive hold on this team after the horrible first half of the season. If Bud Adams had been at least respectful to Fisher, pulled him aside and said (I want Vince to start against the Jags) nobody would be saying this garbage.

On a positive note, good job Vince, CJ, defense, etc. We're only 3–6 but we have new life and alot to proove. I want REVENGE THIS WEEK!!! BRING ON HOUSTON!!!

He has been here long enough he qualifies as a Texan. We took Tennessean Davey Crockett, we can take an Okie too.

Adams was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1923. He graduated from Culver Military Academy in 1940 after lettering in three sports. After a brief stint at Menlo College, he transferred to the University of Kansas (KU), where he completed an engineering degree.

Adams served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II in the Pacific Theater of operations, and was discharged as a Lieutenant, Junior Grade.

Shortly after his 1946 discharge, Adams' plane was fogbound in Houston, Texas. He liked the area and decided to settle there.
