Great article. Please note that my boss, cartoonist Rick London, relatively new to Twitter has his own theory. Celebs on Twitter are neither good nor bad. Rick is a semi-celebrity himself, in that his offbeat cartoons, Londons Times. have been the #1 ranked Google offbeat cartoon since 2005. He reciprocates with all, and encourages his "celeb friends" to do the same, and they do. His philosophy is that "everybody is a star" so he really does not pay much attention to who is or who is not a celeb. He cartoon stores, and gets just as many purchases from Peoria as Hollywood. I can't believe I didn't say thank you on your blog yet. I'm humbled to be on this list (and frankly, surprised). The world of social media allows another way to connect with people I may not have otherwise ever met. I'm learning as I go along, making lots of mistakes all the while having fun.

@ Dennis. That was definitely one of the key factors in putting the list together, Dennis - as well as being excellent PR people, everyone also epitomizes everything social media is about. I'm sure you'll find your new friends to be as helpful as your existing.

@ Jason. I agree, PR finally seems to be getting its respectable groove on and the people here are most definitely at the forefront. And I guess I better work on my accent - it's meant to be Scottish... ;-)
@ Beth. The feeling is most definitely mutual, Beth. I think one of the main reasons for the ten that are included here is that each one has provided me and Twitter with invaluable information and anyone following any of the 10 would gain some valuable insights.
@ Nicole. Glad the list was of use, Nicole, and hopefully the ones you weren't following offer you great advice on your PR and social media journey. :)
