An invitation to young atheist writers

IT’S always good to learn of efforts to promote atheism on the internet, so we were naturally delighted by the news that a new blog, which aims to give a voice to young freethinkers, went “live” this week.

Young Freethought is the brainchild of student Michael Campbell, Chief Editor, who says it was created:

To give a voice to a small section of society that, we feel, is currently being ignored. Young atheists and freethinkers are abundant, but trying to find out just what they ...

think is a difficult thing.

This is why we will accept submissions from anyone aged 16-21, on issues relating to freethought.

This could be a book review, an opinion piece on current news or even a small essay.

We welcome submissions from authors aged 16-21 on any relevant topic; whether it be a news story, observation or small essay.

Campbell adds:

All articles are chosen by the Editor whose decision is frequently unjust, illogical, arbitrary and absolute. We are not able to pay authors for their articles, but we can offer them a growing audience. To submit an piece for online publication, send an e-mail to youngfreethought@googlemail.com with the title of the piece in the heading, a brief synopsis followed by the work itself.

Occasionally, authors above the age of 21 will be published here – but in exceptional circumstances only.
