Love the black grout and the lacquered black cabinets! I would do these in an edgy neoclassic space vs. Your run of the mill traditional kitchens…
Well, I believe I like the black! Hah, yes, the mismatched mirrors- very funny. Amazing how Decorators can get away with anything…woops did I say that?!
I prefer the white grout in general – especially in the applications above, but also agree with Merri – white grout on the floor is a headache.
Choosing a grout color is really important when the tile is on the floor. White grout may look great until someone walks on it, spills on or worse (think bathroom). Choose a colored grout for the floor and you won’t be sorry. Choose white and you will live to regret it!

depends on the room, of course, but i always try to use at least a light gray because white ends up that color anyway…
