Thank God someone has the testicular fortitude to say what needs saying. I am sick to death of political correctness, diversity, and multiculturalism. If they love their culture so much why don’t they go live where its practiced. As a veteran of WWII I served with men of every nationality. Many of them, such as myself with German grandparents, were descended from enemy backgrounds. They all, to a man took great pride in being American. AMERICAN! Not German-American; Italian-American, nor Japanese-American. AMERICAN!

Col. West,

I read several newspapers online each morning. One of them is the Bangor (Maine) Daily News. This morning I read an article on the Senate “Probe.” One of the star “investigators” is Sen. Susan Collins. I sent a commentary and not being a public target I could afford to be a little more caustic. My post was as follows:On 11/20/09 at 9:09 AM, SPALUMNI wrote:

In this day and age the liberal media would crucify anyone who caused his dismissal from the military prior to his jihadist action. What did he yelll before he started shooting? The same thing they all yell on suicide missions!! Time to restore common sense and crush the dominant left wing liberal agenda!!!

Later this morning I received an Email containing your commentary. It was terrific. I took the liberty of cutting and pasting it to the Bangor Daily News comments on the article. I know for fact that staff personnel track these things for their political bosses. In this case Sen. Collins of Maine. A person of your stature might have a positive effect on her. Might!!!

Sir, I could not agree more with your observation. In my prior governmental position, I oversaw an intelligence collection operation. During the course of that, I had to interact with the Muslim community on many occassions. What I learned is that that communnity is watching how we respond. They expect a severe, immediate and effective response to threats that threaten their community as well. They also expect not to be painted with the same brush and to be targeted unfairly. To respond with hesitantcy, temerity or inconsistancy only serves to weaken us and make us more vulnerable. We need the community because the Muslim community is where we get some of our best information. As far as the violent, fundamentalist Jihadists are concerned, we should surgically and with sophistication, hunt down these rabid dogs that live here and else where and rid the world of their poison.
