Best Books of 2009 — PW and Amazon weigh in

Publishers Weekly has published its Best Books of 2009 list and David Small’s STITCHES was named one of the Top Ten books OVERALL. There is also a Best 11 graphic novels:

They both are early for a reason–Christmas. PW’s lists are to help booksellers decide what to stock for Christmas, and Amazon’s are to help buyers out on what to buy for Christmas. I wonder if eligibility for the list included books published in November and December, 2008.

Amazon also allows users to compare the best graphic novels with the bestseller graphic novels of the year (tabulated through October).
