Women’s College Soccer doesn’t get a lot of publicity, well, anywhere. Especially not the conference tournament semifinal of the Mountain West Conference (apologies to all international readers; it’s complicated). But, when a one-woman wrecking crew like Elizabeth Lambert is involved, even ESPN has to pay attention.
If you watch the endless SportsCenters in the morning, you may have already caught this. If you haven’t, then prepare to be amazed. But watch out ...

Seriously, I watched it a work at least 4 times. I think her play was dirty, but she got away with it. So more power to her. She was on top of the action (literally at on point) and breaking up play.
Sometimes you gotta slow that game do to a crawl to give your team a chance. Linesmen and center ref should have their eyes checked.

For all you out who think soccer players are soft: http://bit.ly/1h1k37.
I did think the brunette was faking the extent of her injuries a little. Note how she gets slung to the ground, takes a moment to peek through her fingers to see if the foul had been noticed before covering up her face again and waiting for the ref to get involved. You can’t teach intangibles like that.
And now she’s been suspended indefinitely. http://www.golobos.com/sports/w-soccer/spec-rel/110609aaa.html
Look for CAS to overturn this early next week.

I just cannot stop watching Ms. Lambert's brutality: http://bit.ly/1wXLgq
