Isn’t that how life is! Sometimes the most important things you learn are the ones you already have. You just need to be able to conceptualize them into ideas you can see clearly.

I get involved in communities by reading and commenting thoughts of value. I also boost my readership above me in order to help them get to where they want to go and hopefully they’ll come back for me; you know “Leave No Blogger Behind”.
I subscribe to nearly every feed and read just about all of them every day something new is published, luckily not everyone is on a daily

“Even if its just a ‘thats awesome’ or ‘Great post’…”
Whoa no no no, never do that. I realize you may be thinking that the blog owner may recognize you and therefore not care about the spamminess of the comment and appreciate you dropping by.
As this may be true, never forget every other commenters on that post that will see your 2 words and instantly decide your

I saw your problem straight away. You’re using a blogger blog to which you are not able to add plugins, are you?
One of the very best plugins for a wordpress blog is “subscribe to comments” as you see on this blog also….the commenter just icks the box and all responses go to their email to which they can then come back to reply again.

I think the reason this community grows as fast as it does is because of the constant conversation happening within it. Like, it’s not just the author of posts here that reply to others comments, but community members do chat a lot too.
The top commentators plugin is a great way to keep your community interacting on your own blog for sure.

Yeah Dennis, you definitely have #1 down! Good job my friend.
Guest posting is seriously amazing. I don’t know if you read it yet, but Seth wrote a great article about how guest posting got us 200+ subscribers in 2 days. Look into it man!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the post!
I am in agreement with you, it’s just like meeting people in real life – you can’t be afraid to talk back to them!
Whenever I learn something, often I find that telling them I learned from their article will make them feel great! Don’t you feel great when someone says they learned something from you?

Honestly, we have made it so clear that we do not want ads on our blog that no one has ever contacted us for an advertisement spot.
But, if you can create an active community, then the chances of you getting advertisers increase. Of course, many factors go into pricing your ads, traffic being probably the largest factor!

It’s hard to reach out to everybody especially if you’re blog is fairly large. But, I like to get as many as I feel like. I would love to get on many more of my blog readers blogs, but time usually doesn’t permit me to do so all of the time!

Installing plugin that show the top comentators is a great idea too. And I believe if you reply any comment (even it just a greeting), your blog will be more attractive and communicative. This kind of blog is growing up very faster in subscribers and readers. Also, be active in your own blog so visitor will always feels that you’re still exist in your blog.

Hey Alex, You have shared col points over here. These are really effective and addition to these points, one should be active on one or two platforms like Twitter or Facebook and stay connected with different bloggers of same community. Nice list buddy.

I have 1&5 down pat for sure! 1 can take a couple hours, but it is well worth it! My own Reply to comments post was in my most popular list for 7-8 months…I’m a firm believer and certain parts were a wee controversial .

What we have to do is find ways to get more consistent in everything we do from commenting to sharing to linking to each other. To that end I just created a DoFollow-Blogs list in my @GrowMap Twitter account so I can quickly hone in on what our fellow dofollow bloggers are doing.
Anyone who wants to be added can send me an @GrowMap message. Those in niches beyond blogging or online marketing

Connect With Your Community and See Results http://bit.ly/2bqxcg

Alex, you almost wrote all the possible ways to interact with your commentator. I also feel good when i receive a personalized message when i comment on someone’s blog for the very first time. I hate it when i get the same but an automated one. It is like a community is accepting you as a new member. I will prefer to see a little blurb about the blog in that email as well. Nice post with useful tips.
I agree, replying to comments is a must if you want to establish a relationship and build a following. Acknowledging the fact that someone took their time and read a post, then commented is often times overlooked.
The one thing i try to do every day is to learn something new, and that comes by way of interacting with others. That’s the beauty of the

How much will major advertisers pay to advertise on your blog? I’m not talking about pay per click. There are some fitness blogs that “The biggest Loser” sponsor as well as the South Beach Diet. Any tips?

Another set of useful tips. Connecting with readers is so critical. Getting involved in their community is a great one…if time permits, I suggest everyone starting out should seek out others in the same niche and similar popularity. Go reach out to those guys, they’re wearing the same shoes as you are.

Last week I did an ‘introduce yourself’ post which I first saw on this blog, amazingly today i received a number of intros a week after the initial post. So yes I totally agree with you Alex, offering your community value add, greatly helps your blog in the long term.

I definitely agree on replying to readers comments. This is especially important if a reader asks a question in their comment. Promptness in response time is important also. If you take a week to respond to a reader’s question the response may never be seen.
Of course having great content that gets readers to want comment is the first step

At the moment, i have a competition for the top commentators. After a week, I provide free 125×125 ads for the person, who commented. Also, I create a post to announce the winner and provide link from that post as well. The post also, include top 5 commentators, with a link to their site as well.

Conversation is the essence of blogging and a powerful means of marketing, getting involved with your reader is a good way of gaining brand in your field, its attract loyal readers and promote the blog because why would someone want to leave a comment on your blog or get involved in a conversation if they are not seeing you do the same on your own blog?

Great Post.
I also agree with the replying to your readers comments. There’s nothing more irritating then leaving a comment and not getting a respond. I currently use the Top Commentator plugin to keep people commenting. Not only do people get a link back from the Top Commentator list, but they might get a bit of traffic as well. Launching some big contests on your blog also will increase
