I’m not a fan of this SMDC either, but I appreciate James’ talent and imagination in pretty much all his videos. I specially like AVGN, his movie reviews and YKWB.

And the bum saying kablooie is funny. And NC yelling “Jesus Christ” with astonishment when he sees him for the first time is funny too, because that’s what SMDC looks like.

Anyway, the video has an interesting and nicely thought-out story. I only saw the SMB3 review and the Battle between AVGN and NC, so I didn’t know this about Super Mecha Death Christ in Dorothy Goes To Hell. I only saw it on a trailer. I thought he appeared to rescue Dorothy.
