Oh, this is embarrassing. A man on the Home Shopping Network is demonstrating how much fun it is to play Wii Sports with one of those plastic tennis racket accessories. Gotta make the sale! And it all goes well until he raises his arm and goes for the serve…
BAM~! That’s one broken TV you have there, mister. Maybe you should have paid attention to the warning that comes on when you turn the Wii on: “please make sure the controller is strapped to your wrist, lest you break the ...

Sorry, but you get a big LOL from me.
If a little comment like that sends you into “INTERNET RAAAAGE” mode, maybe you shouldn’t be using it. OH whoops, the internet instruction manual doesn’t state anything about “E-Raging” over silly comments on the internet.

This is exactly why people shouldn't encourage manufacturers by buying those rediculous add-ons for the Wii controller that are supposed to look like whatever sport / game you're playing.

Guy does not even know how Wii sensor bar works. Said that all movements are picked by "sensor bar". Someone should show him a battery powered sensor bar that is not attached to Wii/does not communicate with Wii and ask him how that works.

That is probably good then. It is still cheap crap sold for way too much. They make it sound as though those accessories are required to play those games.

This is why I never condone playing wii on an LCD if you think there might be an accident. A Panasonic Plasma with their TUF coat can take quite an impressive hit without breaking. I regularly beat on the screen with my fist to show customers their durability. We had a samsung LCD break from getting struck by an errant whiffle ball we were using to promote excitement during our baseball opening day ... See all content

How exactly is this guy an idiot? It looks to me like faulty accessories. When he said, " I didn't have it on all the way," he was likely saying this to trick the consumer into thinking, "Oh, this guy just didn't put it on right, I bet they stay on if used properly."
Reply
monodelasno 3 months ago on Digg
They do stay on it properly assembled. It's not rocket science, it's a latch system.
But don't let that get in the way of your cynicism.

Not everyone in every country needs to have stupid detailed instructions to avoid being sued. Common sense is a good thing to have, and most people do have it. But, if you are the one that will try to stop a chainsaw with your genitals and then sue the company if the instructions didn’t state that you could get hurt, then you should not be allowed to touch or handle anything.

I love two things:
1. The head of the racket totally ended up on the TV stand, not "and there goes the tennis racket" with the across the room look.
2. "I didn't have it on there all the way." Clearly, the wristband is on when he says this, and the product actually broke where the handle meets the head.

monodelasno 3 months ago on Digg
No, the base and head unit separate, you can interchange it with the golf club and baseball bat. It has a two point latch system and is quite secure, if properly done as it is used quite regularly to pummel my grandson.

Ummm, look at the youtube account.
Its an HSN account on youtube, meaning this was uploaded just so HSN can have it uploaded in full, they never intended to upload it for the sake of him hitting the screen.
In fact, im surprised that part wasn’t cut out when they uploaded this clip.

Next time I’m gonna show you my favorite scene from The Lord of The Ring trilogy ... See all content
