Video: Man breaks TV on Home Shopping Network while playing Wii

Updated 3 months ago

Oh, this is embarrassing. A man on the Home Shopping Network is demonstrating how much fun it is to play Wii Sports with one of those plastic tennis racket accessories. Gotta make the sale! And it all goes well until he raises his arm and goes for the serve…

BAM~! That’s one broken TV you have there, mister. Maybe you should have paid attention to the warning that comes on when you turn the Wii on: “please make sure the controller is strapped to your wrist, lest you break the ...

It's a real pet peeve of mine when people that screw up on live television start going "LIVE TELEVISION THERE'S NOTHING LIKE IT" with the nervous laughter.

If a little comment like that sends you into “INTERNET RAAAAGE” mode, maybe you shouldn’t be using it. OH whoops, the internet instruction manual doesn’t state anything about “E-Raging” over silly comments on the internet.

This is exactly why people shouldn't encourage manufacturers by buying those rediculous add-ons for the Wii controller that are supposed to look like whatever sport / game you're playing.

Not everyone in every country needs to have stupid detailed instructions to avoid being sued. Common sense is a good thing to have, and most people do have it. But, if you are the one that will try to stop a chainsaw with your genitals and then sue the company if the instructions didn’t state that you could get hurt, then you should not be allowed to touch or handle anything.

I love two things:

1. The head of the racket totally ended up on the TV stand, not "and there goes the tennis racket" with the across the room look.

2. "I didn't have it on there all the way." Clearly, the wristband is on when he says this, and the product actually broke where the handle meets the head.

Reply

monodelasno 3 months ago on Digg

No, the base and head unit separate, you can interchange it with the golf club and baseball bat. It has a two point latch system and is quite secure, if properly done as it is used quite regularly to pummel my grandson.

Its an HSN account on youtube, meaning this was uploaded just so HSN can have it uploaded in full, they never intended to upload it for the sake of him hitting the screen.

In fact, im surprised that part wasn’t cut out when they uploaded this clip.

Yeah the guy's an idiot, but kudos to him for keeping it going.
