Why: As many as 1,500 families in Cobb County are still trying to piece their lives together after losing their homes and belongings in the Atlanta flood. Many are still living with friends, family or in hotels. Many are in need of aid and face the daunting task of furnishing a place to live. Let’s get them the help they need before the holidays. These are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, old and young. They may be our friends, neighbors, family, co-workers. We need to have their lives back to normal so they can continue contributing to our society and our economy.
