I don't believe "shopping while black" is really an issue (except in a few isolated racist instances). I think if a black person is dressed nicely and enters a store, there is no issue. If a person of ANY race enters an expensive store dressed in a manner that implies they can't afford the products in that store, they are likely to be hassled. Race is overblown.

oh no, i know i'm wrong, i just don't care. I'm tired of being made to feel guilty by EVERY media outlet. Everyone ignores the horrible things minorities do to eachother, its only white people that get called out on it.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but i'm not about to let it upset me to know that white people are just as racist as everyone else...

This video didn't at all claim that only white people could be racist. Why are you so upset? Racism is attributing the actions of a few people to their entire race.

Sensational BS. Actors.

A person with black skin can get elected President in the US.

So move on.

Reply

sprezzatura1 3 months, 2 weeks ago on Digg

Right, because we haven't seen any sort of racial attacks on that dark-skinned President of ours. Nobody's complained that white Americans are losing their country. And our President certainly hasn't received hundreds of times more death threats than his very white, very Texan predecessor.

Just curious, but what difference does it make if he's full or half black? The point is that until recently someone who 'looks' black would not be elected president.

By new majority of people who aren't so petty. There are far less racists in America than there are sane people, but the hate filled minority is anything but silent. The people filled with hate are much more likely to act unfairly or even violently on their feelings, making them much more dangerous than the average civil human being. They told her she couldn't afford the merchandise because it was in the script.

They are actors.

It's a fake store.

They said so in the video.

Why are people digging this retard up?

Reply

Nothlit 3 months, 2 weeks ago on Digg

And your point is...? The video is meant to show the other shoppers' reactions to what they believe is a real scenario.

Reply

PowderedToasty 3 months, 2 weeks ago on Digg

The video is about the reaction of the real customers in the store, not of the actors. Why are you having such a hard time with this?

Reply

Ferretman 3 months, 2 weeks ago on Digg

Sorry, but I *highly* doubt the veracity of this story.....seems far too "put on" to be credible.

Reply

castong 3 months, 2 weeks ago on Digg

Watch it again, it's a fake store.

Reply

MrChunks 3 months, 2 weeks ago on Digg

It's not a fake store. I'd say "watch it again" but you clearly haven't watched it for the first time.

Why do you keep saying that?

Haha, try "Going to a black neighborhood while white."

You will wish the only you were getting was dirty looks and over-attentive customer service..

For bonus points, try "Going to a black club while white."

That's always a real good time.

I am a pale white guy, and I live in a neighborhood that is mostly black , everyone has been nice for the most part, waved back when I waved, etc.

I was nervous about burglary when I moved in, because it is a few blocks from an area known for crack and prostitution, but after two years living here, the worst thing that has ever happened is a shady white male knocking on my door trying to sell

So... it was like Office Space except the black guy claiming to be a recovering crack addict and selling magazines was actually a white guy claiming to be a recovering coke addict?

I've done that! Me and a friend went to a reggae club in Fort Worth in the black part of town. When we walked in, it was like a scene from a movie. I could have sworn I heard a record scratch and the music stop playing. ALL of them just stared at us like we weren't welcome. We walked out.

Are you a character in some cheesy movie from the 90's ? The record scratched and "ALL OF THEM" stared at you?

get out of here

I've done both, and nothing bad happened to me. Is your experience different? Please share. For bonus points, do you believe this is a situation where two wrongs make a right?

The latter has happened to me in reverse. I went to a club in the south recently; upon trying to pay the cover we noticed that everybody was staring at us. Shortly, a nice lady appeared and explained that due to the

This might be a reading comprehension issue. It was my friend from the south who used the term "redneck" upon being denied access to the club. If you believe that her use of the term negates the injustice done here, then Godspeed.

There aren't a lot of white guys wearing cornrows, dreadlocks or braids in the south. It simply doesn't work that way. That's the secret -- by writing

Recently in Boston I was going into a "club" which was totally empty. We were the only 3 people when we got inside. I was wearing a black t-shirt with a picture of a pez dispenser on it. On our way in a black guy was told he couldn't go in because he was wearing Timberlands.

Just sayin'.

Reply

cheddaro 3 months, 2 weeks ago on Digg

Classic. Complaining about racism while calling people "rednecks" because you disagree with their dress code.

And I see way more white people with dreadlocks than I do black people. I think black people realized how damn stupid they looked back in the 70s.
