Seth Godin is an author and entrepreneur. His latest book, Tribes, argues that "lasting and substantive change can be best effected by a group of people connected to each other, to a leader and to an idea," according to Publishers Weekly.

In an interview with Wired.com, Godin discussed the role of ego in a successful leader, finding your inner charisma and whether timing is everything, or even anything.

Kylneth pointed out in the 70’s that a key control mechanism of Our Owners was the “escape-valve” principle, exemplified by the brilliant innovation of the “peasant University” which even today still works.

The simple idea that there is a way up from the bottom by diligently learning by rote that which Our Owners want to promote.

I don’t know why people like seth get any publicity at all. Is he saying anything ground breaking? No, it’s all very bland. He tries to come across as some philosopher, but is just some guy spoutin off. blah blah blah…

Well after five years, I think I’ve finally got it! Be remarkable to others, not what “I” think is remarkable. His ideas have made my web business book a Best-Seller http://www.BestWebsite.com/ and I’m grateful for his advice. Some call it trite, but I believe they might have missed the message in it’s simplicity.

I am a big fan of Seth Godin’s. As a result of employing the ideas from his free book (unleashing the IdeaVirus), my website http://LiquidationMob.com has gone viral. I have made it easy for people to share stories and easy for people to subscribe. I highly encourage you to read his book, it’s a free download.

So why aren’t there more golf pros? Same reason there aren’t more leaders. Same reason there aren’t more tribes. Sure, “anyone” can lead. But only those few combine ... See all content

it is interesting to me that many comment that what seth godin surmises is “common sense”…hasn’t anyone heard the phrase “common sense isn’t so common”….

to me seth is codifying that which is already a natural process of human behavior and need. this is why the tribe works. we, as sentient human beings are ‘hard wired’ for this; especially
