QANTAS Airlines is the best they didn't charge me for my boardbag at all or any of my luggage and I had 3 boards in a bag.

TACA Airlines was $100 for a boardbag one way

Watch out for the International fees. I went to Central America in February on Delta Airlines and got hit with a $300 fee (each way) for one brand new board. I ended up leaving the board down there to avoid the $300 to bring it back.

fly V australia (virgin), I just flew with 3 snowboards (much heavier than surfboards) from Aus to Colorado and didnt get charged a cent the whole way. They are the cheapest airline by far as well!

just put it together last week. southwest and a few other airlines still don't charge for bags. but that doesn't mean that they don't make up for it with booking fees
