I have been a hugh Pink Floyd fan for a long time, I have also listened to the Flaming Lips for quite a while. I am not opposed to the idea of the Lips covering Darkside but I will enter into it with caution. Their have been some horrible covers of DSOTM in the past but also some great. Easy Star All Stars did a fantastic cover with "Dubside of the Moon." and later went on to cover Radiohead's "OK computer" and the Beatles "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" with spectacular sound and interesting interpretations of each artists original themes. I'm going to give the Lips a chance, it might be horrid and it may make me listen to DSOTM over and over again for a week to get the bad taste out of my ears but I am not opposed to a tribute and reinterpretation of the music. ...
