Oh, I see. TCM showed a political movie that is relevant about today's events. Yet, the commentator cannot say that it is political or still relevant for today because a conservative does not want to be reminded that it is political or that it seems that the character portrayed in the movie of 50 years ago is applicable to a contemporary huckster who — am I to suppose? — is conservative .

Jeesh — and conservatives say that liberals want political correctness.

Even though Andy Griffith's character may resemble someone the conservatives want to protect from objective criticism,, the moral of the film seems to be more applicable to Tiger Woods, Carrie Prejean and other celebrities who present a false image only to be unmasked.
