Gee's the guy flew out for a cheeseburger, Its a normal thing in GA to get into your airplane and go fly someplace for lunch, I do it from time to time, In my case its Clam Chowder on Nantucket Island. I been a professional pilot for better than 35 years now. This is a right of passage as far as pilots go. We all have done it once and some do it a few times a year. And some every week end. Its called Freedom. As for Harrison and his current lady friend, well men do strange things for the women they love. Heck he has four or five airplanes and a helicopter. I just will stick with a 1939 J-3 Cub that a friend lets me fly from time to time. I never said a 30-06 is to small. I just happen to own a 338 Winchester and a 375 H+H. but since you are upset about it, I will make sure that if I get another job in Bush alaska I will just take a 30-06. Let see, yea all I would have to do is just buy a barrel for my Blaser R-93. They make slick barrels called tracker, I can get it in 30-06 308 or 9.3 x 62. Gee's I didn't do any thing today and you got me spending money. Oh one more thing the Model 71 Winchester in 348 is a very nice rifle if you can afford to buy one. I like the Prisoner of Zenda along with Tale of Two Cities and Lost Horizons. The thing about Zenda was that David Niven was on the Verge of Stardom and was recalled to the Army. He was a Sandhurst Grad. And well it Was World War II. After the War, a lot of the Black and White Classics were remade in Color. Pretty good, Been flying for 34 + years professionally and Capt Sully had a lot of things going for him, enough Altitude to work with and a pretty calm clear vis day.Doing a dead stick landing is not hard as long as you keep good Airspeed control and have some room to work.
