ckmom-I think you're right, the feeling of powerlessness contributes as well. I just keep returning to the idea that it's fine to feel a certain way about something, but if the other side's the only one doing any actual talking . . . It's a paradigm shift for me, though, as I've generally been just content to live and let live. But the current state of affairs in the country , along with PC drivel like "The People Speak, " are helping to get me more vocal. Oh mercy . . . Okay, the Obamas are hip, we get that (thank you MSM). Their tastes are very progressive. Check. But what about the dignity of the office? There weren't any other ornaments available with an equal "cool factor" but in better taste? It's like when parents name their child something avant-garde just to make a statement, only to have the kid move out as soon as they
can.

How do you let go of something you love? I've been a movie buff for years, and still look forward to new releases that show promise, but yeah-sadly, the thrill, if not gone, ain't what it used to be.
I guess I mourn the past greatness of cinema because there doesn't seem to be anything/anyone coming down the road to bring it back, or to even usher in a new version.
