I agree – you must write from the standpoint of what’s comfortable for you. I’ve gone all-out, and then cut back to where I feel okay with the sex scenes. They definitely need to be in the stories, however, but not necessarily in a way that makes me want to run and hide!
Great post!

This opened my eyes! Very good insight into what it takes to do this book trailer thing. Well done!

Have a great Thanksgiving! Oh, and I love that you used the word “gullet” in your post. Such a great one.

You are spot-on, Heather.
Every bit of time, from showering to microwaving an egg, I am thinking about the story. Where will it go? How does this or that question find an answer? When moments like these fill up the minutes, I know the story has turned into a passion that must be pursued.
Speaking of deadlines, I need one for my current WIP. I wrote two books last year and now I feel
a little more relaxed about it all.

Nice! This is great.
Uh, what’s the clay-mation movie with the elf that wants to be a dentist? Rudolph? That’s the one I like.
Have a great one!

I wouldn’t want to write a true rape. I have an MC in one of my stories getting into a situation that potentially goes there. It was difficult to write and took some time, but I pulled it off without feeling uncomfortable.
I don’t know how the erotica writers do it, though (now that sounds like a pun!). They write the super-duper sex scenes all the time.
