My son always notices litter now that we’ve collected trash in our neighborhood a few years in a row for Earth Day (he was 2, 3 and 4 when we did the deed). You’re right, it’s never too early to start teaching!

I never had a leek until about a year ago, but they really are great to add a unique flavor to common dishes. Here’s the soup I created: Chicken Barley Leek Soup. I wish my husband liked salmon; that dish looks amazing!

It’s a good reminder that buying used clothing is actually a “green” thing to do and not just frugal. I wish I could convince my in-laws that we (the kids) really, really, don’t need new trinkets and *stuff* to clutter up our house just because it’s a holiday like Valentine’s Day or Easter…

This might sound crazy, but even flouride in city water is connected to acne/zits. Melissa at Cellulite Investigation has some interesting info on it. (http://www.celluliteinvestigation.com/2009/09/whats-hiding-in-your-homemade-chicken.html)

I noticed that my breakouts cleared up when I was at my parents’ for a week, drinking their well water!
