Thanks for this great post on business planning, I’m sure lots of people will find it a help. Far too often I find businesses, of all sizes, missing out on some of the basics such as risk – maybe it’s because many people have such a positive attitude but nothing’s perfect, as we know.

I couldn’t agree more with your points on keeping the processes simple. For those who are used to working in large corporates, be they public or private sector the idea that a process can be a few straight forward bullet points on a single page is either a revelation or confusing – I know which camp I’m in.

This is great advice, thank-you. I never fail to be amazed by the number of companies, large and small, who fail to take even basic preventative measures. As we know, not everything is under our own control and having to recover after an accident or emergency costs time, effort and loses revenue.
