Brett Hume just said on the O’reilly factor that Ron Paul doesn’t have a large following. Damn what the hell is wrong with the media? Why are they so dishonest and corrupt?

Every single day Beck says that the government is corrupt beyond all comprehension, and that the government lies to the people every chance it gets. However, miraculously, the government WOULD never, ever lie about the events of 9/11! Never! The government is basically evil and corrupt all other days but was perfect on Sept. 11th, 2001.

A Tobin tax would be great if it was a tax strictly on speculative derivatives trading. But I highly doubt that’s what Brown is talking about.

It’s called the right to bear arms. We have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights, which enumerate our rights (not give them to us, but list). The Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights says:

rights given to us by our creator (or nature if you’re so inclined “Natural Law”).
One of those alienable rights is the right to own guns. The founders of the United States lived in colonies under England and King George. He wanted to fully control the colonies from England, but the colonists didn’t always agree with his polices. Therefore, King George sent troops to the 13 colonies to enforce his will. The colonists continued to rebel against the King. The king then at one point decided to confiscate the guns of the colonists because it’s easier to control an unarmed populace. Now, the English troops marched into Kentucky to take the Colonists’ guns. This is what started the American Revolution: The Battle of Lexington and Concord.
We fought an entire revolution of the right to bear arms. Why would we dare give that right up? Tyrants ban guns.
