I started off trying to do this, but ended up looking like a fish out of water. Then winter hit and because I’d decided to embrace the cold instead of whining about it, I think my new attitude was reflected on my blog. Plus I signed a contract to have my 2nd novel published, release date next year. All in all, I’m not getting the numbers you talk about, but I’m happy. I hit the 10 ,000 visitor last month and I’m still coming up with blog posts. Guess the only way direction from here is up. Eh?

I’m glad you asked that question, Liz. I’m learning to let the experience of “now” guide my life. By being present, I can stop the fear from paralysing me. I just have to go back to the old habit of thinking about the past or worrying about the future to know my new vision works. Still, it’s amazing how easily the ego can do its stuff. Luckily for me, experts like you keep reminding me to stay on track. Which reenforces the notion that the Internet is one of the best things to happen. Sadly, not everyone accepts that.

Thanks, Srinivas. Very interesting post. You talk about stuff that means something to me. Stuff that I’m still worrying about. I’ve had a blog for sometime, but I’ve approached it differently and now it’s almost as if I was back at the beginning. I’ve been interviewing fascinating people and have had any guest bloggers. They’re the reason I have so many followers . But come January I promised myself I’d slow down and do my own blogging. Having so many guests is actually a lot of work. That’s why your post has come at the perfect time. I’m saving it to remind myself that I can do this.

I’m finding it easier to receive backlinks since the summer. I think it’s because I’m meeting more bloggers who are just as interested in creating a relationship as I am. It’s all about making friends. To have a good friend, you need to be one.
