i agree it shouldnt matter at all, but unfortunately to christians it does and more often than not if you want to receive help from them, one of their reqiremnets is that you listen to them proselytize to you first or you sign a statement saying that you will attend their church services, when i was homeless thats what i had to agree to before i could get any help, and when you’re very hungry you’ll almost agree to anything ... thanks for the post on this topic Mark, atheists helping the homeless and doing any charity work is one topic that needs to be discussed more often among atheists, by doing this kind of work, it blows away the religious claims that you need god to do good works.

“Why do people believe in God?” simple minds think alike

Does belief seemingly protect you from harm’s way? never has

Are you afraid of death? my brother died this past sunday, no i’m not afraid of death

Are you afraid of life? i’m not afraid of something i enjoy

Do you believe because you were told you should? one of the reasons i’m atheist lol

Are you afraid there might be a Hell or another type of punishment after you die? hell no lol

Does your God make you feel secure? god? no gods no masters

Does your God keep you from murdering or raping someone? there are plenty of other reason not to do those things dont need a god for that

Would you be an alcoholic or drug addict if you lost your belief? i became one as an atheist and got clean and sober without the need for a higher power/god
