Weve been known to squeeze content out of more than a few drunk driving fiascoes[17] and were never loathe to indulge in douchebag faces consequences for his douchebaggery[18] schadenfreude. So when a guy dressed up as a breathalyzer gets pulled over for drunk driving, obviously we get interested ...
. But it wasnt until we saw his picture that we actually became positively enamored with the story.
He has to have been driving home from a frat party. Thats the only place where that obnoxious below-the-waist Blow Here thing would pass as clever, right? Right?[19]
An Ohio man dressed as a Breathalyzer test for Halloween found himself blowing into one after police stopped him for allegedly driving the wrong way without headlights on a one-way street. Oxford police said they stopped 20-year-old James P. Miller on Halloween night and found beer in his front seat and in the trunk. Police said Miller blew 0.158 percent on a Breathalyzer test. The legal limit for driving is a blood-alcohol level of .08.
For those uninclined to do the multiplication, thats almost twice the legal limit. He was also carrying a fake ID, which presumably explains how he managed to purchase the open container he was nailed for having. Were not necessarily fans of very shrill anti-drunk driving campaigns. We worry that theyre sometimes covers for neo-prohibitionist campaigns (cf. fun, war on[20]). But driving while disabled is obviously out of bounds under any circumstances, and going the wrong way on a one-way street definitely crosses that line.
Plus he really does seem like he kind of had it coming.
